1001 Actions for Dialogue Campaign

The most important initiotive of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue Between Cultures in 2008 run as a part of the European Year if Intercultural Dialogue. A joint effort was undertaken simultaneously an all 37 member countries of the Foundation. Thanks to micro-grants awarded by the Foundation, 207 projects were implemented.
The key objectives of the campaign were to unite people and organisations around the idea of dialogue, to promote mutual respect and to fight xenophobia and all forms of discriminations.
Varied an terms of their formula and subject matter, activities for dialogue took place throughout the Euro-Mediterranean region, from Morocco to Portugal, to Lebanon and Turkey, to Latvia and Poland to Greece and Egypt. The capmaign took twelve months, culminating in the Night of Dialouge on May 22.
